If I Could Change One Thing

If I could change one thing that has previously happened in my life it would be not taking the chance to try out for the volleyball team this year. The reason I did not try out is because I felt that I would be too busy with school and cheer and I would not have enough time for another sport. Although I felt that I would not have enough time, I never took the chance to see if I would have even made the team, and because of this I am left with regret.
If I would have tried out and made the team, it could have affected the volleyball team, my competitive cheer team, and my ride to practice and back home. Since I would be on two teams and playing two different sports, it could interfere with my practices and I would have to miss some of them. I would also have to rely on my ride to give me transportation to both practices or games. Since I would be so interacted with sports, it could affect school because I would be tired and busy and not have time to do work and focus. Even though I regret not trying out, maybe it was a good decision because of all the stress it could have caused.

What I Value

Something that I value most is my competitive cheer gym, Fierce Athletics. Since I have joined this gym it has taught me many lessons. Fierce Athletics has taught me to be strong. Not just strong as in muscle, but strong as in my attitude and in the way I do things. It has taught me that we as individuals can not do everything by ourselves. It takes every person on the team to make a successful routine and dominate at competitions.  We have to win or lose as a team. Fierce has also taught me about trust. I learned that I have to trust my bases, my flyers, and my back spot. We all have to work together. I have learned to adapt to different techniques, although doing some of them may be dangerous. That is where trust comes in.
I dream to start my own gym. I want to be able to teach others who have the same values as me, what I have learned. Even though competitive cheer can be stressful; it is fun and a good experience. I value and enjoy cheer a lot.

Interesting Thing I did this Summer

An interesting thing that I did this summer was go horseback riding. My father, my Stepmom, my Stepsister, and I drove out to Pennsylvania, which is about a 6 hour drive. We had driven there while it was storming, so the storm made the drive a little scary. Since it was raining when we arrived, we stayed inside and played checkers. Now that it was going to rain all day, my Stepsister and I decided to go swimming. After swimming, we made plans to go horseback riding the next morning. Since I had never been horseback riding before, I was very excited to go. I was determined to go even if the weather was good or bad. Unfortunately, the next morning there were rain showers. When my family and I got to the place to ride horses, the owners said that we could still ride them, although we may get wet and muddy. We each got to pick the horse that we wanted to ride. The horse that I picked was tan and her name was Spring. We rode around, up and down hills, and we did a trotting station. I had a lot of fun. After riding the horses, we got to feed them. This was an interesting experience for me because it was my first time riding, and we had gone through a lot of rain to ride them. I would defiantly do it again.

My Name

My name is Leanna.
Inherited from Grandma Anna.
It is an old English name
Without much fame.
It is pronounced "Lee-Ann-Uh",
But most see it as "Lee-Ahh-Nah".
Sometimes shortened to Leanne,
Which is not my biggest fan.
My family calls me Lee;
But that is okay because it fits me.
One meaning is "lioness",
Which I often get compared to.
Another is "a beautiful women"
And that is definition two.
I have blue eyes and brown hair;
I can be as sweet as honey,
And I often share.

My middle name is Victoria
Which comes from the British Queen Victoria.
The meaning is victory,
But all this is history.
We are alike in the same way,
By wanting to be
The "Queen Bee",
And have people listen to what we say.

My last name is Torres
It came from a time way before us.
A tropical potion,
From across the Antlantic Ocean.
That is the key,
to explain parts of me.
Therefore, I will be,
The best Leanna Victoria Torres I can be.
